We are currently looking for a skilled Project Delivery Specialist to join our team at an underground mine with a FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) schedule of 14 days on, 14 days off.

Job Description

The Project Delivery Specialist will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams overseeing project staff and sub-contractors, ensuring each project meets operational standards. This includes developing a detailed scope of work, budget, and schedule, conducting risk management assessments, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing detailed project plans that include scope, schedule, and budget
  • Reviewing and approving engineering designs, ensuring they meet project specifications
  • Working closely with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Monitoring project progress, quality of work, and materials used to maintain project standards
  • Preparing required reports and forecasts
  • Managing and allocating resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment
  • Conducting ongoing risk assessments – identifying and developing strategies to reduce risks
  • Conducting project evaluations and lessons learned to improve future projects

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or construction industries
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • WHIMIS certification
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Suite, particularly MS Project
  • Underground experience is mandatory
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and meet project deadlines
  • Active listening and ability to communicate technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders
