Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our nursing team as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) working in a long-term care setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing and personal care to residents, while also leading the nursing team and participating in quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities
As a member of our nursing team, you will:
  • Provide nursing and personal care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital signs.
  • Assume responsibility for the operation of the unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse, as required.
  • Participate in the development and modification of resident plans of care, ensuring that each resident receives individualized attention and care.
  • Monitor residents' health and note any changes in condition, reporting these to the Registered Nurse or Director of Care as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to residents, including physicians, therapists, and dietary staff.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A valid registration with a regulatory body.
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to resident-centered care.

Benefits
We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $65,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive benefits, including professional development opportunities, access to Point Click Care, and a safe and healthy work environment.
