Job Title: Senior Planner/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner/Project Manager to join our Urban and Community Planning practice in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a wide range of municipal planning policy and land development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing policy and zoning reviews for municipal and development clients
  • Preparing municipal planning documents such as municipal plans, zoning/land use by-laws, and secondary plans
  • Conducting research and presenting planning analyses
  • Obtaining planning and development approvals
  • Organizing, participating in, and facilitating public and stakeholder engagement processes
  • Coordinating with multiple disciplines and regions across Canada
  • Leading and coordinating proposals for internal and external clients
  • Carrying out business development and client service tasks
  • Fulfilling project management tasks and responsibilities
Requirements:
  • University degree in Planning
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a municipal or consulting environment
  • Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners
  • Ability to support and grow our local Atlantic Canadian team through ongoing business development efforts
  • Designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) will be considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, query, analyze, and effectively communicate information
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, including management of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Highly motivated, organized, flexible, enthusiastic team player committed to upholding our reputation for delivering high-quality service
  • Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills
  • Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset
