The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience, with proven experience leading a finance team, preferably in a large corporate or Canadian P&C market. They will be responsible for overseeing cost management processes, supporting the CFO in managing costs, and reporting relevant KPIs using both internal and external data.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with expertise in forecasting and modeling, as well as knowledge of business performance and metrics. Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel, is also essential. In addition, they should have excellent communication, business collaboration, and people skills.

As a key member of the Finance team, the Strategic Financial Planning Director will play a critical role in driving business growth and making a significant impact on the organization's success.

Estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial planning cycle, forecasting, management reporting processes, innovation, and developing FP&A team members for AIG Canada.
  • Oversight of cost management processes, including reporting monthly expenses and supporting the CFO in managing costs.
  • Develop and enhance production of Canada monthly and quarterly narratives through Budget, Forecast, and Quarter Close cycles.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment within all teams and the Group, and report relevant KPIs using both internal and external data.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a large corporate or Canadian P&C market.
  • FP&A experience is required, with strong analytical skills and expertise in forecasting and modeling.
  • Knowledge of business performance and metrics, as well as proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication, business collaboration, and people skills.
