Your Opportunity:

The Diagnostic Imaging department at Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing and recording high-quality magnetic resonance images for interpretation by radiologists and cardiologists. Your expertise will play a critical role in diagnosing and tracking diseases and pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and record magnetic resonance images for interpretation by radiologists and cardiologists.
  • Prepare and position patients for examination, review patient history, and explain procedures.
  • Respond to the physical and psychological needs of patients throughout the scanning procedure.
  • Maintain MRI equipment and ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging program or a certificate from an accredited MRI Technologist program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a hospital setting and strong technical knowledge and skills.
  • Proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Connect Care and IMPAX proficiency an asset.
