Financial Collections Specialist

Kaizen Automotive Group, a leader in Canadian automotive retail and one of the 50 Best Managed Companies, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join its dynamic team.
We offer a competitive salary range of $44,000.00-$52,000.00 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including extended health coverage, dental care, paid vacation time, and employee assistance programs.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will report directly to the Controllers and be responsible for providing financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts under their portfolio.
This includes:
- Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
- Communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts to strengthen relationships and resolve issues
- Running Billing and Month End Statements, as well as sending invoices to customers on a monthly basis
- Providing excellent customer service through phone calls and email correspondence
- Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably with ADP/CDK systems
- A Post-Secondary Diploma in accounting or a related field (an asset)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
