Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Shan Holdings Inc.

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and supervising a team of staff who prepare and portion food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels and ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that orders are placed in a timely manner.
  • Hire and train food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports as required.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, including cooks and kitchen assistants.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Recruitment of newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
