Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide quality physiotherapy services to our patients, promoting optimal function, preventing disability, and enhancing overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation, client assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation to maintain optimal function and prevent disability.
  • Develop and implement physiotherapy programs to promote client well-being and independence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and education to clients and their families.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and training of students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain professional accountability, judgment, and reasoning with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience in physiotherapy.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or approved equivalent.
  • Registration on the Active Practice Register of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.
  • Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (preferred).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements in accordance with WRHA policy.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, demonstrate safe and effective body mechanics, and safely transfer clients with limited or no weight-bearing capabilities. May be required to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours, and may be exposed to infectious diseases, blood, and body fluids.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement. A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check are required as conditions of employment.
