About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Fresh Prep, a leading meal kit delivery service in Canada. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, and driving process improvement in our food manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a variety of teams, including ingredient portioning and finished product assembly.
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and performance expectations are well understood and adhered to.
  • Mentor and lead direct reports, including Lead Hands, Runners, and Production Associates.
  • Manage employee feedback constructively and ensure effective training programs are in place.
  • Accountable for budget and KPI alignment for associated production departments.
  • Plan production activities, including labour scheduling, ingredient and packaging materials availability, process improvement projects, and contingency planning.
  • Ensure food safety and GMPs are consistently being adhered to, company SOPs and policies are followed, and regulatory requirements are being met.
  • Conduct incident investigations and facilitate corrective actions.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience supervising productivity, efficiency, and process improvement in a food manufacturing plant setting.
  • 2 years experience grooming direct reports, promoting key players, and conducting employee performance management.
  • 2 years experience liaising with purchasing, production, quality assurance, and human resource departments.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is strongly preferred.
  • Automated processing, production, and/or packaging line experience preferred.
