Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant to join our team at People Corporation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to new business prospects and in-force clients in relation to their group benefits program. This will involve working closely with the Enterprise team to manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities related to employee benefits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services to clients and prospects.

The Enterprise Associate Benefits Consultant will be responsible for:

  1. Managing new business and in-force groups to ensure timely and accurate delivery of employee benefits services
  2. Reviewing plan performance, experience reporting, and assisting in flex pricing exercises
  3. Preparing market specifications for clients using internal and external quoting systems
  4. Analyzing data and carrier proposals, preparing cost comparisons, and making recommendations for the best option for the client
  5. Performing ad hoc investigations of claims data to explain trends to consultants and clients
  6. Gathering data and analyzing the estimated cost impact of plan design alterations for self-insured clients
  7. Preparing client renewal reporting and reviews, including negotiations with insurers and completing the renewal cycle with reporting and commentary
  8. Preparing presentations, reports, and proposals as requested by clients and prospects
  9. Providing technical and peer review work for analysts and other associates
  10. Coordinating with insurance carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution and implementation of benefit programs
  11. Preparing documents for client presentations and meeting with clients to deliver information
  12. Supporting working relationships with Plan Sponsors, Plan Administrators, and Representatives
  13. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with carriers, Account Leaders, and other client stakeholders
  14. Staying up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and best practices related to employee benefits
  15. Tracking ongoing work and updating workflow systems regularly
  16. Providing mentorship and training to Enterprise Benefits Specialists and Analysts as needed
  17. Coodinating and organizing sales events in collaboration with the broader team

Required skills and experience include:

  1. 2-3+ years of experience working in Group Benefits
  2. Experience preparing client renewal reporting and reviews, including negotiations with insurers and completing the renewal cycle with reporting and commentary
  3. Strong communication and analytical skills
  4. Life License (LLQP) is considered an asset
