Job Description

As a Benefits Consultant at Gallagher, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by building and maintaining valuable relationships with prospects and clients. Your primary accountability will be to develop and acquire new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients, with an emphasis on small to mid-size companies with high revenue.

You will participate in team sales situations with other producers and support personnel, developing a pipeline of business opportunities that are an appropriate mix of new clients and account expansion. You will introduce Gallagher's full-service offering to broaden the scope and impact of client relationships, assisting, educating and mentoring other staff members in new client sales situations and existing client service requirements.

You will convey deep technical expertise and business insight in helping clients evaluate opportunities to reduce cost, risk and improve the overall competitiveness of benefits, retirement and HR services. Constantly staying ahead of industry, market and legislative trends that impact health & welfare plan design, delivery and compliance, you will reciprocally develop proposals that are fiscally sound, reflect an appropriate investment in the client, and demonstrate the overall capabilities of Gallagher.

Establishing and maintaining inter division/intercompany relationships consistent with our workplace culture, you will also foster strong communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively in a team selling environment. Results Oriented, you will have a real passion for building relationships and collaborating toward success, and be an effective communicator.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess significant consultative B2B sales experience, having developed new business as well as maintained an existing customer base. Experience in the Benefits Administration and Consulting industry is ideal. Some of the desired work traits include acting independently with minimal direction, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team selling environment, results orientation, a real passion for building relationships and collaborating toward success, and being an effective communicator.
