At Intact Financial Corporation, we're looking for a skilled IT Vendor Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Operations department, you'll be responsible for the daily and long-term management of our vendor and software management activities within the IT Infrastructure.

About the Role

The IT Vendor Manager will oversee and lead the Vendor and Asset Management team, ensuring they're performing their roles effectively and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and fostering relationships with key strategic vendors
  • Establishing a 3-year vendor roadmap
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of major contracts, including terms, products/services, and quantities
  • Strategizing for significant contract renewals and optimization
  • Initiating early discussions with contract owners, Procurement, and Asset Management
  • Confirming budget at the early stages with Operational and Project teams
  • Identifying and quantifying potential areas for contract improvement
  • Evaluating if the value derived from contracts aligns with the amount spent
  • Supporting stakeholders in developing their forecasting capabilities to manage efficiently and optimize key contracts

What You'll Do Here

As an IT Vendor Manager, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee and lead the Vendor and Asset Management team
  • Manage Infrastructure Services' assets lifecycle and ensure compliance using corporate tools as a single source of truth (inventory)
  • Develop and design dashboards and reports targeted to specific audiences, conduct meetings and presentations to share insights and recommendations to management
  • Provide visibility on current base and forecast for IFC and RSA
  • Conduct data analysis related to cost allocation, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and other related metrics

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, ideally in vendor and asset management (hardware and software) and prior experience managing a team
  • IT Infrastructure and Service knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow is an asset
  • Certified Software Management Professional and/or Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional is an asset
  • Experience working in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, such as Procurement, IT, Finance, and business
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication skills
  • Customer-focused, analytical, and self-motivated
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and management skills
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required, considering the necessity to interact regularly with English-speaking colleagues across the country
