The BCUC oversees common carrier pipeline operations and fosters market competitiveness by gathering and disseminating information regarding gasoline and diesel fuel activities within the province. Position Overview: The BCUC is seeking an IT Support Analyst to deliver comprehensive information technology assistance to our staff and commissioners.
The ideal candidate will become part of a small, passionate team of technology advocates, driving the BCUC's ongoing efforts to enhance our IT systems and processes, maintain security, and deliver value in fulfilling the organization's IT requirements. As the primary point of contact for IT support, the individual will provide on-site assistance to BCUC personnel and commissioners, addressing challenges related to both in-office and cloud-based systems, networking, printing, and audio-visual technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage various IT-related tasks, including hardware procurement, configuration setup, and inventory tracking.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
- Assist the team in navigating technological transitions throughout the organization.
Candidate Profile: The successful applicant will possess:
- An IT-related degree or certification, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- A genuine passion for technology and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong self-motivation and reliability, complemented by exceptional customer service skills.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adeptly prioritizing a diverse array of evolving challenges.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Hybrid Infrastructure, Microsoft Application Support, Adobe Acrobat, and Creative Cloud will be considered advantageous.
Compensation Package: We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a defined benefit pension plan, medical and dental insurance, a health spending account, a wellness program, and an initial vacation entitlement of approximately four weeks per year.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position with expected working hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The nature of this role necessitates in-person work.
Salary Range: The anticipated salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 per annum, with the exact offer determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity considerations.
