Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist II to join our team in Edmonton. As a Psychologist II, you will provide advanced clinical services, consultation, and education to our interprofessional team and patients/families.
Job Summary:This is an advanced level psychology position that will allow you to work with or within teams to provide and inform services for patients with complex and multi-dimensional medical, psychological, interpersonal, environmental, and/or instrumental needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advanced clinical services, including psychological assessment, diagnosis, and/or intervention
- Consult and collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure evidence-based practices
- Develop and implement program, policy, and procedure development, service planning, staff development, quality improvement, and evaluation
- Supervise doctoral level psychology residents, master's level interns, provisional psychologists, psychometrists, and other team members
- Completion of a doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program
- Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
- Neuropsychologists: Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology/Neuropsychology from an accredited university program with specialized doctoral or post-doctoral training in neuropsychology
- Clinical Psychologists: Knowledge, skill, and ability to provide psychodiagnostics, personality, and cognitive assessments; individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities
- Current Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Experience using electronic medical records (Connect Care)
