Job Title: Pharmacy Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Coordinator will provide exceptional customer service to patients and interact with Patient Assistant Programs and internal and external stakeholders. This role will perform administrative and organizational tasks in a pharmaceutical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary customer service that meets the standards of Bayshore Specialty Rx, with customer interaction primarily via phone and email.
- Create and maintain patient records in pharmacy software, including filing and documenting appropriately according to policies and procedures.
- Manage pharmacy records, such as site calendars, appointment changes, dispensing and shipping schedules.
- Accurately confirm delivery addresses with specialty programs and patients to ensure timely arrival.
- Perform patient follow-up calls for outstanding accounts.
- Assist the pharmacist/registered pharmacy technician in maintaining federal, provincial, and local laws, accrediting body standards, and policies and procedures.
- Fax doctors for refills.
- Escalate situations as required to the appropriate pharmacy team member.
- Effectively communicate with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals, reimbursement coordinators, and infusion clinics.
- Accurately enter data into various systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Typically requires 3+ years of customer service experience.
- Organized and disciplined, with strong computer skills.
- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Use the computer and other equipment and reach with hands and arms.
- Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, night vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
