Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Woodpecker European Timber Framing & Woodworks Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and woodworking, with experience in working with wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines
Work Environment:

The Carpenter will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with exposure to heights, noise, and dust. The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in carpentry and woodworking
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Reliability and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
