Concrete Quality Control Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team at Holcim. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our concrete products by conducting material sampling and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct material sampling and testing to ensure compliance with established quality standards
  • Collaborate with the Concrete Laboratory to ensure adherence to CSA/CCIL requirements
  • Troubleshoot problems at the concrete plant and onsite
  • Assist in the development of new concrete products
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional image

Requirements

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work safely and follow all safety and environmental requirements

Benefits

  • Hourly non-union rate: $22 per hour for regular time, 1.5x pay rate for overtime, 2x pay for working Sundays
  • All company benefits, including vehicle and phone, will be provided in accordance with Holcim's company policy

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires travel to sites between Red Deer and Sylvan Lake

Additional Requirements

  • A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing, and a criminal record check may be required
