Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Compass Early Learning and Care. As an Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Key Responsibilities- Program Planning: Develop and implement interest-based and play-based activities that cater to children's unique interests and needs.
- Child Supervision: Maintain active supervision while engaging in play, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of children.
- Documentation: Record children's learning progress through observation, reflection, and research questions.
- Environment Maintenance: Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes children's growth and development.
- Support Services: Assist children with daily routines, such as diapering, dressing, and eating habits.
- Family Engagement: Foster strong relationships with families and involve them in the learning process.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with coworkers, families, and community partners to create a supportive environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in team meetings, professional learning opportunities, and staff training sessions.
- Housekeeping: Assist with housekeeping duties within the program.
- At least 2 years' experience working with children and youth.
- Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
- Valid certifications, including a Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid, and CPR Level C.
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators or a post-secondary degree in a related field.
- Paid Time Off, including vacation and personal sick time.
