About the Job

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, floors, and equipment, using appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Operate various cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, auto scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
  • Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Grade XII diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in environmental services or a related field is an asset.
  • Certification in health and safety is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Good understanding of chemical and equipment use.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
