Job Title: Regional Health Director, Western Canada

At HDR, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Health Director to lead our healthcare team in Western Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for guiding the overall direction of our health sector in the region and contributing to our global healthcare design practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow and develop our health architecture practice in Western Canada, with a primary focus in British Columbia.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with health authorities, construction managers, design-build partners, and related institutions in the region.
  • Lead business development efforts, including identifying and qualifying new business leads, developing effective capture plans, and leading pursuit teams.
  • Oversee the development of written proposal responses, qualifications packages, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with global leaders, marketing staff, and design professionals to develop relationships and win work.
  • Serve as a Principal in Charge (PIC) for key healthcare clients, responsible for establishing strong client relationships, overall project performance, and maintaining client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Registered Architect with the AIBC (or eligible for registration via reciprocity agreements between associations).
  • 15 years of professional experience in A/E/C industry, with at least two years of management experience.
  • Advanced credentials desired (LEED, EDAC, WELL AP, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience within the local and regional health market.
  • Forward-thinking with big-picture mentality.
  • Experience successfully developing and executing targeted market and client strategies.
  • Capable of leading a health team and making client presentations.
  • Business development experience in health design industry.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to travel (domestic and international).
