About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Legal Department, you will provide strategic legal guidance on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and business-focused legal advice on general corporate, labor and employment, marketing, and advertising matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including procurement contracts, logistics arrangements, and confidentiality protection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage department document management, corporate governance, and compliance functions through effective file and database management.
  • Prepare and file annual documents for Kraft Heinz Canada ULC and related Canadian entities, maintaining corporate minute books and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Candidate should have a recognized Canadian law degree, university education, and high standing as a Lawyer with a provincial law society, preferably in Ontario.
  • Post-call experience as a lawyer in a legal environment with significant practical business knowledge is required.
  • Significant corporate and commercial legal experience, ideally in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment, is necessary.
  • Fluency in French is desired.

Estimated Salary:

$150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
