Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Mon Sheong Foundation in Richmond Hill. As a key member of our Resident Care Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and support Registered Nurses and other team members in planning, implementing, and evaluating resident-centered care.
  • Provide personal care services to meet the needs of residents, including support, respect, and promotion of their rights.
  • Ensure the provision of resident-driven care and personal care services that reflect the values and preferences of residents.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary Resident Care Team to promote continuity of care and resident well-being.
  • Assume responsibilities for medication administration, narcotic control, and other skills as directed by Registered Nurses.
  • Provide supervision and direction for non-regulated staff and mentor clinical practices.
  • Monitor and participate in nursing quality assurance programs and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Valid CPR (Health Care Provider Level C/Basic Life Support) and First Aid certificates.
  • Minimum of one year experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care.
  • Ability to work as a team leader and demonstrate supervisory skills.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to speak Cantonese/Mandarin in addition to English would be an asset.
