About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Easy Skill. As a key member of our Construction Support Department, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our Major Component Replacement (MCR) projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Provide leadership and oversight to ensure the safe and successful delivery of MCR construction projects.
  • Organizational Planning: Develop and implement organizational plans to support the effective management of construction projects.
  • Nuclear Safety Culture: Contribute to the development and growth of a strong Nuclear Safety Culture by communicating the importance of nuclear safety and demonstrating a commitment to safety through words and actions.
  • Engineering and Construction Management: Provide oversight of policies, processes, and procedures related to engineering and construction management, including engineering change control, constructability, and contingency engineering.
  • Leadership and Accountability: Direct and hold subordinate management accountable for the delivery of assigned projects and tasks.
  • Expert Counsel: Offer expert counsel to colleagues and department managers on complex engineering and construction matters.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the maintenance of compliance with Environmental and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Representation: Represent the MCR division in matters related to construction efforts, including meetings and briefings with regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience as a mid-level or higher manager in a construction-related function, with at least 5 years spent on complex design-build projects in a safety-critical environment.
  • Education: A university degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Skills: Highly developed communications, negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills, including experience with complex stakeholder interfaces.
