About the Role

The Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our hotel's physical structure, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team that works collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Oversee the maintenance of major mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize organizational objectives, and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve departmental processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a senior maintenance or facilities management role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering and maintenance principles.
  • Experience working in a similar setting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as engineering or facilities management.
  • 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate (for a minimum of 3 years).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
