We are seeking a junior Personal Injury Lawyer with 2+ years of experience to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and collaborate on a high volume of personal injury files from start to finish.
  • Conduct thorough file reviews to accurately assess and manage claims.
  • Draft pleadings, including motions, statements of claim, mediation memorandums, and pre-trial memorandums.
  • Prepare and conduct client meetings, examinations for discovery, case conferences, motions, pre-trial conferences, trials, and hearings.
  • Develop strategies for resolving complex claims in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Law degree from an accredited law school (LLB or Juris Doctor).
  • Licensed by the Law Society of Ontario to practice law in Ontario.
  • 2+ years of post-call experience in personal litigation, preferably with trial experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and SABS.
  • High level of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility, with the ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Assertiveness in practice, combined with reasonableness and forthrightness.
  • Interest in court advocacy, particularly trial work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with research experience.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Sound judgment, with the ability to critically analyze situations, problem-solve, and provide meaningful advice and recommendations.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
