Healthcare Operations Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Operations Assistant to join our team at Shahzia Khan Medicine Professional Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless patient care, and providing exceptional support to our medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Interview patients to obtain detailed medical histories, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
- Prepare and process insurance claims, correspondence, and reports, showcasing strong organizational abilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both physical and electronic, guaranteeing efficient record-keeping.
- Order supplies, manage inventory, and maintain equipment, ensuring a well-stocked and functional work environment.
- Determine and establish office procedures, routines, and protocols, promoting efficiency and productivity.
- Enter and format medical reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets, demonstrating proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Windows.
- Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records, adhering to strict confidentiality standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service, serving as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Certificate or diploma from a college, CEGEP, or equivalent institution.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Windows.
- Competitive salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience.
