Key Responsibilities:
  • Interview patients to obtain detailed medical histories, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
  • Prepare and process insurance claims, correspondence, and reports, showcasing strong organizational abilities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both physical and electronic, guaranteeing efficient record-keeping.
  • Order supplies, manage inventory, and maintain equipment, ensuring a well-stocked and functional work environment.
  • Determine and establish office procedures, routines, and protocols, promoting efficiency and productivity.
  • Enter and format medical reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets, demonstrating proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Windows.
  • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records, adhering to strict confidentiality standards.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, serving as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • Certificate or diploma from a college, CEGEP, or equivalent institution.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Windows.
