About the Role

As a Children and Youth with Special Needs Generalist, you will provide essential family support and guardianship services, working closely with service providers, community partners, and foster parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate assessments and planning for families who qualify for Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) services, helping them access the supports they need.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality services and compliance with contracts, directly impacting the lives of children and families in the community.
  • Use strong administrative skills while working in a diverse, supportive environment, making meaningful decisions based on assessments and building lasting relationships with clients.
Requirements
  • Preferred education credentials: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Social Work or in Child & Youth Care OR Master's Degree in Educational Counselling Psychology/Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with completion of a practicum in family and child welfare.
  • Expanded credentials: Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field OR Bachelor's Degree with a Major/Honors in a Human Services field OR Master's level graduate Certificate/Diploma in a Human Services field AFTER the completion of an unrelated Bachelor's Degree, PLUS a minimum of one year of related OR job-specific work experience.
About this Position

This position is part-time (35 hours biweekly). Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

Estimated Salary

$42,000 - $52,500 annually, which includes a 1% Temporary Market Adjustment.
