Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Layer/Operator to join our team at Hazelwood Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for laying pipes and operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay pipes and connect them to existing infrastructure
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and graders
  • Perform site preparation and excavation tasks
  • Ensure all work is completed to regulatory standards and procedures
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Previous civil experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and responsibly
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to work as a team and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to take and follow instructions
  • Professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with the public
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate of $34-$37.76
  • Vacation pay: 13% of hourly wage
  • Benefits eligibility: after completing 250 hours
  • Pension contributions: $4.80 per hour worked
