About the Role:

">

We are seeking an experienced Technical Systems Operations Lead to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. This role is responsible for coordinating production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of computer-generated data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Production Support: Ensure up-to-date job control language is maintained and documented for each program that is part of a scheduled production run.">
  • Shift Turnover Issues: Document and track all shift turnover issues, contributing to job scheduling and report distribution, as well as data center standards development and enforcement.">
  • Library Management: Monitor the library to ensure proper generation of data files are available for production runs and track resolution.">
  • Pager Rotation: Participate in weekly pager rotation and monitoring production jobs.">

Technology Stack:

Our technology stack includes Microsoft Tech Stack: Windows Server / IIS / SQL Server / SSIS / SSRS / COBOL / ADABAS / UNIX / Iseries / Oracle. We also use Monitoring Tools: PagerDuty, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, Splunk, OnDemand (Zeke job monitoring). Additionally, we utilize Collaboration Tools: JIRA/Confluence, Scheduling - Zeke/Stonebranch UAC, Devops: Helios/UCD/Jenkins, Programming knowledge: .net C#., vb.net, JAVA, SSIS, powershell, SQL, XML.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of Change / Incident Management procedures, experience of Monitor application health after infrastructure/system updates, exposure to DevOps tools (Helios/UCD) for deployments, working knowledge on OMS updates, understand basic JCL and Zeke, Knowledgeable in NPID and Server Compliance, Experienced in Disaster Recovery exercise and Archer findings.
