About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Aurora team. As a key member of our team, you will design and implement major database components to enable Amazon Aurora to scale and perform for growing customer demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver software features and improvements to major portions of your team's software.
  • Work with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand and deliver the right solutions.
  • Design software solutions to enable new features or improve existing ones.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, code reviews, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the team's software.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
