About the Role

This is a permanent position requiring 30-40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping and be proficient in manual and computerized accounting systems. They should also be comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Payroll and Taxation: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Asset Management: Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and maintain accurate records of company assets.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare various financial and accounting reports, including trial balance and reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in manual and computerized accounting systems, attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
