Key Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Assistant and Client Care Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and their owners.

Key Attributes
  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients
  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
  • Compassion and nurturing attitude
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to adapt to changing situations
  • Efficient in carrying out assignments independently
  • Takes initiative to complete tasks throughout the day
Additional Responsibilities

You will also be responsible for:

  • Answering a multiline phone system and tracking and booking appointments effectively
  • Placing outbound calls to pet owners for follow-up and future appointment bookings
  • Responding and managing email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
  • Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
