About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Wescon Cedar Products Ltd. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces are in good condition.
  • Paint Application: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply it to surfaces using airless spray equipment or brush painting techniques.
  • Wallpaper and Fabric Application: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in painting and surface preparation.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Airless spray equipment and brush painting.
  • Coating/Application Specialization: Paint spraying.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding work.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, and team player.
