Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical examinations, and developing treatment plans to promote health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations to identify diseases, injuries, and other health issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to promote health, prevent disease, and manage chronic conditions.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to inform treatment decisions.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as needed.
- Perform routine surgeries and assist in more complex procedures as required.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on healthy habits, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the province of Ontario.
- Experience in family medicine or a related field is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
