Job Summary

Lexo-1000 Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention.
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to minimize risks.
  • Review HR directives to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products and take necessary actions.
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations to ensure accurate risk assessments.
  • Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards and take corrective actions.
  • Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses to identify root causes.
  • Oversee the development of communication strategies to promote a culture of safety.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and enforced.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports to track safety performance.
  • Advise senior management on safety-related matters.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints related to safety.
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
