Occupational Health and Safety Business Partner, LNG Division

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Business Partner to join our LNG division at FortisBC. As a key member of our Safety and Training team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors working in the LNG plants.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures for the LNG division.
- Conduct regular site visits to identify and mitigate hazards, and provide guidance and support to employees and contractors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance organizational performance through safety.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and external partners.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and legislation, including WorkSafeBC and federal regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety investigation methodologies and practices.
- Computer skills, including MS Office Suite and HRIS.
