Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a registered nurse in charge, the successful candidate will provide direct patient care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Unit, and possibly to other nursing units within the facility as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with assessment, direct patient care as assigned, and performs clerical duties related to the work of the Unit.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • Current certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Ability to organize work.
