Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Transfer Agency Operations and Corporate Actions team as a Managing Director. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our transfer agency business, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Transfer Agency Operations, Corporate Actions, and Investor Experiences functions.
  • Oversee TSX Trust business operations in accordance with TSX Trust's approved strategy, within the risk appetite statement approved by the Board.
  • Evaluate TSX Trust Operations, Investor Experience, and Corporate Actions business performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements, automations, standardization, and cost-saving opportunities/efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the annual budget and monthly P&L reporting process for all Transfer Agency Operations and Corporate Actions business lines.
  • Collaborate with the Relationship Management team to assist in building and improving operational practices and capabilities to service TSX Trust clients and their shareholders.
  • Build a high-performance environment and establish a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members.
  • Provide direct mentorship and coaching to senior employees in leadership and technical skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency to provide detailed analysis without losing sight of the 'bigger picture'.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure within a changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with OSFI-regulated financial entities.
  • Trust Course Institute or Canadian Bankers Association courses relevant to transfer agency and corporate trust businesses.
  • Bilingual (French/English).
