Job Title: French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher - Long-Term Occasional (LTO)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher to join our team on a long-term occasional (LTO) basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching FSL to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach FSL to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in FSL - Part 1 and/or other French qualifications as recorded on Ontario College of Teachers Certificate (OCT)
  • High degree of oral and written proficiency in the French language
  • Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Trained in the Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures)
  • FSL - Part 2 or Specialist qualification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
