Job Title: French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher - St. Charles Garnier CES

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher to join our team at St. Charles Garnier CES. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching FSL to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach FSL to students in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
  • FSL - Part 1 and/or other French qualifications as recorded on Ontario College of Teachers Certificate (OCT)
  • High degree of oral and written proficiency in the French language
  • Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
  • Trained in the Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures)
  • FSL - Part 2 or Specialist qualification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching in a Catholic school setting
  • Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and assessment practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
