Cashier Department Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cashier Department Manager to join our team at Dépanneur Lemoyne. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cashiers, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are adequately trained to perform their tasks.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
  • Order merchandise and manage our inventory to ensure that we have the right products in stock at all times.
  • Authorize returns and resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that our cashiers are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to our customers.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help us make informed business decisions.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our cashiers and ensure that they are working together as a team.
  • Manage cash and ensure that our store's finances are accurately recorded and reported.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: French.
