Job Title: Head Cashier

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team at Dépanneur Lemoyne. As a Head Cashier, you will be responsible for overseeing the cash handling operations of our store, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that all cash handling tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure that customers have a positive experience in our store.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage cash and ensure that all cash handling tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or cash handling environment.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • On site work required, with no option to work remotely.
