Radiologic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, adhering to departmental standards and protocols.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, ensuring safe radiation protection practices.
- Prepare patients for examination, entering relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Monitor patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, providing input and feedback.
- Clean and test equipment, performing quality control tests and minor adjustments as needed.
- Perform clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.
- Participate in departmental orientations, in-service presentations, and demonstrations.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
