Radiological Imaging Specialist

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, adhering to departmental standards and radiation protection practices.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient procedures.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
- Monitor patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, providing input and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics management.
- Assist with departmental orientations, in-service presentations, and demonstrations of procedures.
- Participate in approved research and special projects, collaborating with supervisors and other healthcare professionals.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Ability to operate related equipment and work independently and in collaboration with others.
