About the Role

This position is part of our Adult Day Services team in Trail, BC, and involves providing personal and nursing care to clients in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments, plan, implement, and provide personal and nursing care to clients, including wound care, IV, catheter care, and pleurex drains.
  • Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assess and monitor client/family's actual and potential strengths and limitations, including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Encourage client participation in activities of daily living.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and one (1) year of recent, related community, acute care, or long-term care experience.
  • Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Current valid BC Driver's License.

Columbia View Lodge is a Long-term Care Site with 76 beds, offering a range of services, including Adult Day programs and community bathing programs.
