Job Title: Registered Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group in Tavistock, Ontario. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping residents improve their activities of daily living in a Long Term Care home setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will conduct OT/ADP assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress notes in the facility's health record system. You will also work closely with residents, Physiotherapists, and Nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct OT/ADP assessments and develop treatment plans in accordance with College standards
  • Complete feeding assessments and reviews of bed rails for falls prevention
  • Work with the Physiotherapist and Nursing staff on wound management and other interventions
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to make recommendations for resident care
Requirements:
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and ADP Authorizer
  • Professional License Insurance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in Long Term Care a definite asset
  • Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
