About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Diesel Pro Truck Service Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair
    • Conduct thorough inspections of commercial transport trucks to identify and diagnose mechanical issues
    • Repair or replace parts and components as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting
    • Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
    • Collaborate with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, including advising on work performed and future repair requirements
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless workflow
  • Work Environment and Safety
    • Work in a fast-paced workshop environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Work Setting and Hours
    • Work in a workshop environment, with regular hours of 40 hours per week
    • Be available for shift or on-call work as required
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
