About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Centre de services scolaire de Montréal. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our speech-language pathologists in providing high-quality services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs for students with communication disorders.
    • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists to design and deliver training sessions for students, parents, and educators.
  • Work Setting
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, providing support to students with communication disorders in a school or educational institution setting.
    • Assist in the assessment and treatment of students with voice disorders, speech-language and voice problems, language disorders, fluency disorders, and articulation disorders.
  • Tasks and Responsibilities
    • Process files and paperwork related to student assessments and treatment plans.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
  • Area of Specialization
    • Support speech therapists in providing speech therapy services to students with communication disorders.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Perform repetitive tasks, such as data entry and filing, with a high level of accuracy.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, educators, and speech-language pathologists.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field, such as education or healthcare.
