The University of Waterloo seeks an Administrative Professional to support the Faculty Services Manager role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of appointments and academic processes within the Faculty of Engineering. This position independently supports governing and administrative councils and committees, and provides data management and integration across a wide range of functional areas.

As a member of the Dean of Engineering team, the incumbent will provide confidential advice and guidance consistent with policies, procedures, and best practices. The Faculty Services Manager maintains institutional memory and stability, keeps records of governance and administration, and ensures adherence to related policies and procedures.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Administering appointment procedures and academic processes
  • Providing professional support and guidance to various governing bodies and administrative committees
  • Data collection, management, and warehousing
  • Supporting the Faculty Committee on Student Appeals

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive responsibility in an academic setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of university policies and procedures, governance, and academic processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively and discreetly with confidential information
