Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

HAPPY PLANET ENTERPRISES LTD is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests.
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of quality.
  • Repetitive tasks may be required, but we provide regular breaks to ensure your well-being.
  • Physically demanding work may be required, but we provide the necessary equipment and training to ensure your safety.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling may be required, but we provide regular stretching exercises to prevent injury.
Requirements:
  • Will train on the job to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge.
